Billy Gene Ellis, born in Alabama Feb. 2, 1940, passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 in his home, at the age of 69.
Billy was a resident of Calera.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 9-11 a.m.
Funeral Services followed at 11 a.m. both at Charter Funeral Home. Burial was in Dargin Cemetery in Calera.
His parents, Clarence and Lillian Motes Ellison and a brother, Ross Ellison, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Angelia Loyd (Paul) of Clanton; sons, Chris Ellison, of Alabaster, Howard Ellison of Oneonta, Mark Ellison of Gardendale, and Kevin Ellison of Calera; brothers, Bobby Ellison (Agnes) of Jemison, and Pete Ellison (Lucille) of Pelham; sister, June Harris of Helena; companion, Betty Jean Ellison of Calera; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that donations may be made to the funeral home, in lieu of flowers.
