Roger E. Wells, 53, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009.
Mr. Wells was a sergeant with the Mountain Brook Police Department and a longtime resident of Birmingham, which he called Pugonia.
Sgt. Wells was preceded in death by his Thomas R. Wells, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Teresa, the love of his life; his son Matthew Wells; mother: Martha Wells of Columbiana; brothers Thomas R. Wells, Jr. (Anita) of Greer, SC and Phillips B. Wells (Thalia) of Montgomery, numerous nephews and nieces and of course his beloved pugs: Tink, Tank, Tyler and Tyfanny Rose.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 4:30-7 p.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. Ridout’s Valley Chapel with Reverend Mike Miller officiating burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Sgt. Roger Wells may be made to Alabama Pug Rescue P.O. Box 997, Jemison, AL 35085-9998.
