Jason Mills, a student at Kingwood Christian School, joined about 150 students on a People to People Tour in Washington D.C. in October.

Jason was accepted for this honor based on academic merit, civic participation and leadership abilities. The students visited several museums such as the Marine’s Memorial — Iwo Jima, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Newseum to name a few. Jason said that his favorite site was the Newseum because it was a “hands on” adventure. He explored the artifacts and exhibits covered in the 14 galleries and 15 theaters.
