Graveside service for Katie Blount, 39, of Westover, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Wilsonville City Cemetery, the town she grew up in.
Mrs. Blount went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 27, 2009.
She graduated from Shelby County High School and also Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham.
She worked at St. Vincent Hospital as an X-Ray Technician and then later at the Helen Keller Hospital in Florence, where she worked in Nuclear Medicine.
She and her family recently moved to Westover and she attended Lighthouse Community Church in Harpersville.
She is survived by her husband, James Blount; sons, Colton Lyle, Collin Blount; parents, Earl and Rose Mary Brasher; sister, Jenny Cotney; brother, John Brasher and many other family and friends.
