An Alabaster man is facing up to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to committing several armed robberies in five different states.

Twenty-six-year-old Robert Cameron Foust pleaded guilty to crimes in Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Kansas, according to U.S. Attorney Lanny Welch.

Foust pleaded guilty to a string of armed robberies from Aug. 21-26. Four of the robberies occurred at Movie Gallery stores in Calera; Warrior; Conway, Ark. and Roland, Ok. He also pleaded guilty to robbing a Nashville convenience store; a Valero Market in Jackson, Tenn.; and a Little Caesar’s Pizza in Newton, Kan.

Foust is scheduled to appear in court for sentencing March 1. Foust told the court the string of robberies began after he began using cocaine shortly after he was released from the Alabama Department of Corrections.
