Funeral service for Ross Shortnacy, 88, of Wilsonville, was at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial was in Vincent Revival Center.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 from 12-1 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. Shortnacy went to be with his Savior Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009.
He was born March 25, 1925 and he proudly served his country in the US Navy.
He loved his career as a crane operator and he was a beekeeper who supplied honey throughout Alabama and many surrounding states.
Mr. Shortnacy was a faithful member of Wilsonville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his precious son, Matt. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nell Shortnacy; daughter, Mary Ross Ray; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother; one sister and many other family and friends.
