Spain Park High School senior defensive lineman Jeremiah Jackson had three tackles to help Alabama defeat Mississippi 21-13 Dec. 12 in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Classic at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.

Jackson was also credited with an assist on a tackle-for-loss

Jackson helped lead a strong defensive effort by the Alabama all-stars, who held Mississippi to negative six yards rushing and only 44 yards of total offense.

The Alabama defense was able to sack Mississippi seven times as Alabama won for the fourth time in the last five years.

Jackson, who will sign a football scholarship with Arkansas in Feb. 2010, was the fifth Spain Park player to participate in the all-star game in the past three seasons, joining former teammates Zach Payne, William Green, Jesse Grisham and Darrius McMullin.
