Mildred Cummings Damron

Mildred Louise Cummings Damron, age 95, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Embracing Hospice in Atlanta.
Mildred was born March 21, 1914, to her parents the late James Cummings and Catherine Westfall Cummings. She was the wife of the late Henry O. Damron, a homemaker, church secretary and a believer of the Southern Baptist faith. Along with her husband and parents, Mildred was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Mildred is survived by two sons, Lawrence “Larry” (Charlotte) Damron of Chicago and Neil Damron of Indian Hills; one daughter, Catherine (Mark) Treager of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sisters, Catherine Littlefield of Saratoga, N.Y. and Helen Cogan of Saratoga, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Paul (Debbie) Damron, Mark (Beth) Damron, Matthew Treager and Christopher Treager; four great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral was Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The burial followed in the Damron Cemetery at Virgie, Ky.
