The Helena Middle School Band will host their Second-annual Auction and Dinner at Helena Middle School on Feb. 6 from 6-9 p.m.

The evening will include a lasagna dinner and music featuring the HMS Jazz Ensemble, plus members of the Pelham Middle School Jazz Ensemble and the Samford University Ensemble.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on items such as Atlanta Hawks tickets, Birmingham Barons box seats, Fred Astaire dancing lessons, a one-year family membership to the McWane Science Center and others. There will be a silent auction as well as a regular auction.

Tickets are $15 per person, with proceeds being used to fund the purchase of new instruments, music materials and instrument repairs. Tickets can be purchased through an HMS band student or by contacting Janine Gardenhour at 717-658-3210 or through e-mail at gardenhourj@bellsouth.net.
