No injuries were reported following an early morning Jan. 25 house fire on Oakdale Drive in Montevallo.

The blaze started shortly before 8:30 a.m., and firefighters with the West Shelby Fire and Rescue Department had the fire under control shortly after 9 a.m.

The house, near the Montevallo-Alabaster city line, suffered major internal and structural damage in the fire, and its roof was destroyed.

As of Jan. 25, the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
