Glowsticks melt the Snowflakes in SCYBL

DIVISION 6 (Girls)

The Glowsticks melt the Snowflakes 18 to 15. The Glowsticks scorers were Devin Davis with 10 points, Kerrigan Wood had 4 points, with Emily Robinson and Kelsey Shirley with 2 points each. The Snowflakes were led by Payton Jebeles with 6 points, Joy McDaniel had 9 rebounds, and Makayla Melvin played hard on both ends of the court.

The Vipers defeated the Lightning 15 to 12. The Vipers were led by Kalei Merrifield with 8 points and 8 rebounds, Marjorie Head was a force on defense, and Emma Smith showed good effort and hustle.

DIVISION 4 (Boys)

The Other Team tamed the Battlecats 44 to 26. The Other Team was led by Austin Balzi with 14 points, Quint Montgomery had 7 rebounds, Coleman Beasley anchored the defense, with Will Prosser and Larry Johnson hustling on both ends of the court. The Battlecats leading scorer was Tyler Prittchett with 16 points.

The Inmates beat the Celtics 26 to 21. The Inmates were led by Chris Goodwin with 16 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals, Bailey Merrell chipped in 4 points, and Hunter Morris added 10 rebounds. The Celtics were led in scoring by Cole Pate with 8 points and Tyler Pate added 6.

The Bulldogs overcame the Heat to win 28 to 26. The Bulldogs leaders were David Watkins with 10 points, Christian Kendrick had 10 rebounds, Deon Carter got 6 steals, and Grayson Littleton had 4 assists. The Heat’s leading scorers were Heath Garrett with 8 points and Michael Bevard added 7 points.

DIVISION 1

The Wildcats clawed the Warriors for a 15 to 6 win. The Wildcats were led by Larz Belfanz with 6 points, Brailey Lovelady had 5 rebounds, and Peyton Lawrence added 4 points and 4 rebounds. The Warriors leaders were Bailey with 3 points, Maggie scored 2, and Alexa played good defense.

The Firedogs burned the Wolves 19 to 13. The Firedogs were led by Eli Jones and Kaden Cardwell with 5 points each, with John Paul Fox and Ethan Farr anchoring the defense. The Wolves leading scorers were Thaddeus McGinnis with 6 points and Aaliyah Cotton scored 4.

DIVISION 5 (Girls)

The Divas devoured the Lady Twinkies 18 to 7. The Divas were led by Sam Slaughter with 13 points, Carly Ann King ha 8 rebounds, Zakira Montgomery added 7 rebounds, and Bethany Dawkins showed good effort. The Lady Twinkies leaders were Nadia Cockrell with 2 points, Katelyn Bevard had 7 rebounds, and Raegan Maddox played good defense.

Poison Ivy came back to beat the Bolts 16 to 15. Poison Ivy was led by Caitlyn Buie with 7 points, Erin Robbins had 7 rebounds, and Cydnee Goodwin got 10 steals. The Bolts leading scorers were Hannah Marling with 7 points and Charley Clark added 4 points.

DIVISION 2 (Boys)

The Hammerheads defeated the Jaguars 18 to 8. The Hammerheads were led by Connor Davis with 8 points, E.J. Johnson pulled down 8 boards, with Wes Hyde, Riley Lewter, Billy Fryer, and Chris Smith showing good effort. The Jaguars leading scorers were Jason with 4 points and Tucker added 2 points.

The Terminators blasted the Wildcats 28 to 14. The Terminators’ leading scorers were Chadwyn Russ with 13 points and Nathan Bates chipped in 5. The leading scorer for the Wildcats was Austin Lucas with 9 points.

The Blazers torched the Dominators 18 to 2. The Blazers were led by Matthew Prosser with 8 points, Colby Blythe had 6 rebounds, Chase Jones anchored the defense, and Chad Merrifield hustled and showed good effort. The Dominators scorers were Tanner Colvin and Cason Crowe with 1 point each.

The Heat scorched the Thunderdogs 30 to 13. The Heat was led in scoring by Drake Carden with 10 points and J.C. Parker added 5. The Thunderdogs leading scorers were Dawson Humphries with 6 points and Lauren Carter chipped in 4 points.
