Charles H. Davenport, of Alabaster, passed away Jan. 31, 2010, at the age of 80.
He was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lorene Davenport; wife Barbara Davenport; son, Kenny Davenport.
Surviving relatives are his son, Michael ‘Spot’ Davenport; daughters, Susan Overton (Corky), Cindy Pickett (Ricky), Lisa Griffith (James), Robyn Dennis (Mike), and Kelli Dawson (Sandy); best friend, Kay Dawkins; brothers, Julius ‘Bug’ Davenport (Minnie), Lloyd Davenport (Anita); sisters, Joyce ‘Sis’ Braswell, Betty Carroll (Larry); fourteen grandsons, four granddaughters, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster, Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. for friends. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster. He will lie In-State one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Daryle Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Still Memorial section at Elliottsville.
