Mr. Thomas Stanley Nance, age 67, of Homewood, died Jan. 30, 2010. Stanley was born in Evanston, Ill. to Thomas J. and Jeanette W. Nance. He was a graduate of Phillips High School and Auburn University. He served in the US Army as Specialist 5. He retired from the Social Security Administration and created www.physiocrats.org.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marione E. Nance; sons, David (Sherry), Daniel and Darren; daughters, Gwen and Frances; grandsons, Michael and Mathew; brother, Robert Nance; sister, Jeanne Fisch (Don) and nephew, Jonathan Malloy (Margaret).
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 7-8 p.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. Graveside services will commence at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Stanley Nance may be made to The Herbert McCullough Fund, Biology Department, Samford University or Mount Tabor UMC, Westover, AL.
Services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood.
