Harriett Snyder Downs, age 86, of Westover, passed away at home Feb. 9, 2010.
She was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She was formerly active in Eastern Star, Girl Scouts and various Garden Clubs and civic organizations throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise D. Wiggins and son-in-law, Randy Wiggins. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jared and Daniel Wiggins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, W. Joe Downs and her parents, DD and Margaret Snyder.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church on Hwy. 51 in Westover. Her family began receiving friends at 10:30 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
