Martha Jane Carden, born in Alabama on Nov. 8, 1934, passed away in her daughter’s home in Harpersville surrounded by her family Friday, March 12, 2010, at the age of 75.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy White (Larry) of Guntersville, Sandra Raia (David) of Shelby, James Allen Barnes (Charlene) of Wilsonville, William Carden (Terri) of Montgomery, Michael Carden of Shelby, Sharon Wilbanks (Stan) of Harpersville and Jane Belinda Carden of Montgomery; brother, James Edward Howell (Helen) of Jemison; sisters, Bobbie Hunt (Bobby) of Birmingham and Hazel Gifford of Mississippi; twelve grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Columbiana Assembly of God Church. Brother Terry Lincoln officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in her memory to the Cancer Society or Odyssey Healthcare Hospice.
