Michael Lee Johnson, of Calera, was born in Alabama on Jan. 26, 1971, and passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the age of 39. Michael operated heavy equipment since he was fourteen years of age and loved it until he passed away.
Funeral services will be at Charter Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation was held March 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Reverend George Hicks is officiating the services.
Johnson was preceded in death by his mother Jean Morgan and father, Hershel Morgan. Survivors include his son, Michael Lane Johnson; fiancée, Amy Rachelle Buffkin; brothers, Billy Wayne Johnson (Michelle), Bobby Hershel Johnson, Jr. (Vickie), and Robert Jones (Renee); sisters, Cathy Ann Johnson and Tina Renee Johnson; former wife, Diane Cook (Jamie); best friends, Murdock Brown (Valerie) and Bobby and Mindy Collum; and his cat, Killer Johnson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera, Alabama.
