Interstate 65 N. in Alabaster has been reopened after being closed an hour following several wrecks.

Several wrecks occurred during torrential downpours on I-65 N. near the 241 and 241 mile markers around 3 p.m., forcing police to close the section of the highway until the wrecks were cleared.

Alabaster Police closed the I-65 northbound on-ramp at exit 238, and Calera Police closed the northbound on-ramp at exit 231.
