The Montevallo Police Department is investigating a pair of robberies at two local businesses.

Police reported a robbery Jan. 13 at the China Garden restaurant at 108 Selma Road, and a robbery Feb. 25 at the Lucky’s supermarket, and are seeking suspects involved in the pair of incidents, said Police Chief Steve Holt.

Because the incidents are being investigated by the Montevallo Police Department and “other agencies,” Holt said the department is releasing few details about the crimes.

“There’s nothing breaking as of right now. The case is still under investigation,” Holt said. “We don’t want to let everything out right now.

“We don’t want the bad guys to know everything we know,” Holt added.
