After some time off for Spring Break and then several days of torrential downpours, the Pelham boys’ golf team returned to the links March 23 with a 171-196 nine-hole victory over Homewood at Ballantrae Golf Club.

“Both teams came off of a long layoff with Spring Break last week, and the bad weather the three previous days before Spring Break, limiting practice time,” Pelham head coach Phillip Lawson said. “The lack of practice showed as both teams struggled throughout.”

Conner Slane was the low medalist for the match, shooting a 37. Justin Nolen was next for the Panthers with a 42.

For Homewood, Trey Gilyot had the low score with a 42.

The Panthers return to the links March 25 against Hoover at Riverchase Country Club.
