Katie Blake Elsberry, 24, returned to the open arms of her heavenly father on Monday, March 28. She was charismatic about her faith and thoroughly devoted to her two small children, Bradley and Emily. Carrying her memory are her parents Christie and Bob Blake, brothers David and Nathan, grandfather Maxwell Owens Sims and countless others who loved and cared for Katie. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, at Kingwood Church in Alabaster at 3 p.m. The family will receive visitors beginning at 2 p.m. as well as after the service in the sanctuary. The Church is located at 100 Harvest Way, Alabaster, AL 35007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the ministries of Kingwood Church in her name.
