Earl V. Baker, age 101, of Old Baker Farm in Harpersville, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Visitation will be Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Harpersville First United Methodist Church. Services will begin at 12 p.m. at the church following the visitation. The Rev. Tim Barnes will officiate. Burial will follow in Harpersville Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ophelia; son,
Edward; grandson, Terry and two infant children.
He is survived by his sons, Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Baker of Jasper and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Baker of Harpersville; nine grandchildren, Tony Baker of Columbia, S.C., Angela Baker Salamone (Joey) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Lance Baker of Jemison, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Baker of Nashville, Tenn., Dr. and Mrs. Donald Baker of Jackson, Miss., Ike Baker of Jasper, Lisa Baker Green (Ryan) of Birmingham, Lindsey Baker Brereton (Ross) of Foley and Leah Baker Harry (Ryan) of Harpersville; 14 much-loved great grandchildren and seven beloved great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Baker, Bradley Baker, Lance Baker, Josh Baker, Donald Baker, Ike Baker, Steven Green and Joey Salamone.
The family will accept flowers or donations to Harpersville First United Methodist Church are appreciated.
