The fourth and fifth grades at Elvin Hill Elementary school held a week long “penny war” to raise money for Relay for Life. Every penny a student brought in counted as one point for their class. Mrs. Hermecz’s class won for the fifth grade, and Miss Letcher’s class won for the fourth grade.

Overall, the students raised more than $1,100.
