Funeral service for Barbara Atkins, age 80, of Columbiana, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Atkins, who passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, at a local hospital, was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Boston, Mass.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Eugene Atkins and a son, Richard Deaton Atkins.
She is survived by her children, David Atkins (Johnnie Ann), Jack Atkins Jr. (Bonnie), Lela Carlile (Jimmy), Robert Atkins (Pam), Christine Gutierrez (Oscar) and Jerry Shelton; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Elaine Langford and a host of other family and friends.
