A memorial service for Roy Mack Armstrong, age 77, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. The family received friends immediately before and after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 6214 County Road 151, Calera, AL 35040, or to Pets Inc., PO Box 6394, West Columbia, SC 29171.
Mr. Armstrong died Friday, April 9, 2010. Born in Calera, he was the son of the late James Elwood Armstrong and Nallie Garrett Armstrong. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Parks Armstrong, daughter Nola Armstrong (Hall Gladden) of Columbia, S.C., son Todd Armstrong (Harriett Turner Armstrong), sister Ruth Armstrong Comer, many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He is predeceased by his brother J.E. Armstrong.
