Glenn Lien, age 85, of Montevallo, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Montevallo, a WWII Navy Veteran and a Mason. Mr. Lien was also a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 559 where he received the Alton Lambert Award for Leadership and he was inducted into the Order of the Arrows. He was a member of the Lions Club, a volunteer fire fighter and was awarded Montevallo Citizen of the year in 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Doris ‘Dee’ Lien; son, Krist (Kim) Lien; their daughters, Chism Lien and Larsen Lien; daughter, Judy Santa Cruz; her son, Keaton Santa Cruz; and daughter, Ashley (Ryan) Foster; and sister, Helen Steelman.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Montevallo with visitation held two hours prior to service. A private burial followed at the Alabama National Cemetery. The Rev. Buddy Freeman and the Rev. Bill Brown officiated.
