Jewel Wallace

Funeral service for Jewel Wallace, age 93, of Wilsonville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Wilsonville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Scottboro. Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Wallace, who passed away Friday, April 16, 2010, at her home, was born Nov. 17, 1916, in Alabama. Mrs. Wallace was born and raised in the Scottsboro area and spent most of her life in the Birmingham area and has lived the past 15 years in Wilsonville. She was one of seven children, survived only by her sister, Clara Mae Wallace.
She was married to Pryor Wallace for 54 years, who passed away in 1993. She had five children, Nancy Fluker (Gordon), Linda Bolden (Jimmer), Susan Simpson (Bill) and two sons who died as infants.
She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Kathy Caddell, Ellen Cook, Jeffrey Simpson and Abbie Simpson; great-grandchildren, Bobby Childs, Lindsay Caddell, Meaghan Brown and Chase Simpson; great-great-grandchildren, Jayzk Childs and Maddie Childs.
She was a charter member of Hilldale Baptist Church in the Centerpoint area of Birmingham and has been a part of the Wilsonville Baptist Church for the past 15 years. Mrs. Wallace was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved the Lord, her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to the Wilsonville Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
