Indian Springs boys edge Briarwood

The Indian Springs School boys’ soccer team edged Briarwood Christian 2-1 in high school soccer action April 19.

Stuart Lewis and Colin Simon scored a goal each to lead Indian Springs, which improved to 17-2-4 overall.

Alex Jamroz recorded an assist on each goal.

Jake Law scored the only goal for Briarwood, which fell to 11-4-2 overall.

Chelsea 4, Tuscaloosa County 1

Ashley Page scored two goals and recorded an assist to lead the Hornets (12-8) past Tuscaloosa County.

Will Bevill and Russell McClinton also scored a goal each. Bevill and Daniel Decker recorded an assist each.

Chelsea goalkeepers Trent Tinsley and Josh Carpenter shared duties for the Hornets. Tinsley made four saves and Carpenter recorded three saves.

Thompson 1, Northridge 0

Trey Jacobson scored the only goal for the Warriors, who improved to 14-7-2.

GIRLS

Thompson 10, Northridge 0

Kacey Chance, Hannah Oglesby and Madison Thomas scored three goals each to lead the Warriors, who improved to 17-4-3 overall.

Michaela Graber also scored a goal.

Chelsea 1, Tuscaloosa County 1

Stephanie LaBeau scored the only goal for Chelsea (8-7-2) in the tie.

Amanda Weygand and Chelsey Sanders split time in goal for the Hornets.
