James Fred Brasher, age 70, of Moody, passed away April 18, 2010.
Mr. Brasher was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ila Brasher, brother, Bobby Brasher, sister, Martha Brasher. He was retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 27 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah Day Brasher; children, Freda Hammonds (Darryl), Jimmie Sue Vincent, Bobby James Brasher (LeAnn); sisters, Nola Wells (Slim), Shelby Whitfield (J. A.), Susan Isbell (James); brothers, Ferman Brasher (Laverne), Johnny Brasher (Mary Jo); grandchildren, Madison Vincent, Chloe Brasher and Jamie Brasher and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (Vandiver) Building Fund or Sterrett Church of God of Prophecy.
The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Sterrett Church of God of Prophecy with burial at the adjoining Cemetery.
