Hazel Grubbs

Hazel V. Grubbs, devoted mother and wife, was called to join those who will rise first to meet our Savior in the air when He returns to claim His own. There she waits to be reunited with her loving husband of 65 years, Thad Grubbs of Montevallo. She was a resident of Alabaster.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Burial followed in Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. Visitation was held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the services.
Mrs. Grubbs is survived by her six children, Billy Wayne Grubbs (Mary) of Lexington, Ky., Roger Grubbs (Debra) of Winter Park, Fla., Ray Grubbs (Wanda) of Montevallo, Darlene Womack (Ron) of Hoover, Susie Price (Micky) of Calera and Jim Grubbs (Dana) of Walkertown, N.C. Mrs. Grubbs is survived by one sister, Edna Black of Alabaster. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of friends whose lives bear witness to the kindness and generosity of their beloved friend.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera.
