Salon eases stress

At Citrus Salon Spa in Mt Laurel, I was greeted in a bright waiting area by a smiling Danna Rhodes, who led me to a massage chair, placing my feet in warm surging water fragrant with the aroma of citrus.

I flipped the chair’s features on, every one of them: vibration, heat and deep probing massage. What a life.

Soon Rhodes returned to buff my tootsies, which by now were feeling divine. In fact, my whole body was as relaxed as an overcooked noodle. She continued working her magic on my feet, turning winter-rough skin into softness, massaging them with pomegranate and fig-infused cream. The many fragrances were surely meant to be aromatherapy.

It worked. The pedicure would cure most ills, at least those related to stress.

Soon I selected a bright red for my “little piggy” toenails, leaving Citrus Salon with them sparkling, my feet summer ready. Now bring on the sandals and a beach.
