Dear Editor,

Recently Columbiana lost one of its most loving citizens. “Slim” Joiner was a little man with a giant footprint.

He touched everyone’s life that he came in contact with.

He possessed something that most will never receive: a true loving friendship from thousands that knew him.

Such a friendship went beyond the occasional slap on the back!

The Lord has clearly blessed those that knew Slim!

He was untouched by the fast-paced lifestyle and partisan politics that takes over most of our lives.

Slim, my brother, I will always cherish the loving friendship you gave to me.

I know the Lord has a special place for you in Heaven. You will surely be missed.
