Three Oak Mountain High School boys and three Oak Mountain girls, all members of the Eagles’ track and field teams, participated in the Alabama High School Athletic Association state decathlon and heptathlon May 10-11 at Hoover High School.

Rhett LaPorte led the Oak Mountain boys as he finished 29th overall in the decathlon. Anders Allen and Tyler Williams also participated in the decathlon.

Christina Tam led the Oak Mountain girls as she finished 40th overall in the heptathlon. Kelly West and Sara Graham also participated in the heptathlon.
