Mildred H. Tidewell, age 90, a resident of Calera, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Graveside service was at 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at Summerhill Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Susie Miller Horton and Carl L. Horton of Calera.
Mrs. Tidwell is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul C. Tidwell of Calera; a baby boy; daughters, Faye Nell Erwin, Anita R. Klein; seven brothers and sisters, Noland Horton, Birmingham, Clyde Horton, Calera, Lonnie Horton, California, Willie Miller, Cottondale, Estelle Martin, Montevallo, Melissa Nelson, Alabaster and Bertha Collum, Calera.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her daughter, Betty C. Horton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Trudie) Horton of Tennessee; brother-in-law from Jemison and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
