Lula Nix Sherrer, age 86, was restored to her healthy mind and body on May 22, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Montevallo and a lifelong member of the Montevallo First Baptist Church. She was part of the Montevallo High School graduating class of 1944. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby ‘Bob’ Sherrer Sr.; daughter, Mary Williams and eight brothers and two sisters.
Her surviving relatives are son, Bobby Sherrer (Joyce); son-in-law, Dolan Williams; sisters-in-law, Betty Nix, Cherrie Nix, Lorraine Nix, Joyce Nix, Frances Alexander and Eliza Sherrer; three grandchildren, Amanda Roper (Dave), Rebecca Newman (Nathan) and Joshua Otts; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Rockco Chapel at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in the Montevallo City Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be her nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers donations maybe made to the Montevallo First Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Society.
