Bad political tactics target local children

Nowadays we must protect our children from many things in this world, but a politician looking for votes shouldn’t be one of them – unless this politician is Slade Blackwell.

On May 17, Mr. Blackwell and two females were seen spinning his political signs in Little Caesar’s fashion at the entrance of Elvin Hill Elementary School as parents and buses were dropping off their kids.

Miss Hillman, I commend your actions in confronting Mr. Blackwell and making him aware that was on school property and he would need to leave, which he did – going right across the street to the Bolton Field parking lot, which is still, in my opinion, the wrong thing to do.

I mean, what was this man thinking, showing up at a K-5 school at 7:30 a.m. slinging his political signs around like some fool?

This is, as we all know, a marketing tool used to get you to buy pizza by catching your kids’ eyes and having them drive you crazy until you buy pizza, so I guess Mr. Blackwell was trying to get our vote by way of our kids.

You’re a sad little man, Mr. Blackwell, preying on our kids this way.

I don’t think we need your ways of thinking in Montgomery, Mr. Blackwell, but we do need an apology to the kids, parents, bus drivers and school employees at Elvin Hill Elementary.
