David Dewey Holladay, age 46, of Childersburg, passed away on May 30, 2010 in his home. Visitation was at Calvary Baptist Church in Vincent on June 2, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral was held at Calvary Baptist on June 2, 2010 at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Wayne Lowe presiding. Interment followed at Vincent Cemetery.
Holladay is survived by his wife Carshena Holladay of Virginia; two daughters, Misty Suzanne Holladay and Shianne Megan Holladay, both of Virginia; his mother Mary B. Holladay of Fairfield; his brother Randal T. Holladay of Montevallo; sisters, Sheila K. Shay of Dayton, Ohio, Kathy J. Levesque of Childersburg, Anette Glass of Montevallo, Patty Reed of Parrish and Diane Holladay of Birmingham.
Holladay grew up in Vincent before leaving high school to join the National Guard. The service moved him around until he ended up in Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, R.T. Holladay and brother, Danny Ray Holladay.
