Doris “Dot” Janeal Sullins Scruggs, of Wilsonville, formerly of Gadsden, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010.
Mrs. Scruggs was a longtime resident of Wilsonville where she served on the City Council for several years. She was a faithful member of Wilsonville United Methodist Church and was active in many civic and community organizations.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband Everett Scruggs. She is survived by her son Steve (Beth) Scruggs, her daughter Kim (Vernon) Cooper: 4 grandchildren: Ross, Stephanie, Tiffany and Clayton and 3 great grandchildren: Sophia, Margo and Mary Ellis.
Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Dot Scruggs be made to Wilsonville United Methodist Church.
