Former Briarwood baseball player named to Gold Glove team

Former Briarwood Christian School baseball standout Grant Luke capped his collegiate career at Union University by being named to the TranSouth Conference’s Rawlings Gold Glove Team.

Luke, a 6-foot, 195-pound outfielder, batted .325 with five homeruns and 34 RBIs in 59 games during his senior season. Luke hit .351 with four homers and 37 RBIs in 56 games as a junior.

Luke batted .464 and stole 41 bases during his senior season with the Lions in 2006.
