Curtis Parker Bedsole of Calera, passed away on July 2, 2010 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Owens Bedsole; son, Steve Bedsole (Karen) of Chelsea, AL; daughters Alice Matthews (Wayne) of Chelsea, AL; Edith Smothers (Gerald) of Millbrook, AL; and Neal (Rosa) of Pensacola, FL. Mr. Bedsole was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Talley and Ara Weaver and brothers, Raymond and Junior. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Calera, a Korean War veteran, and retired from the United States Postal Service.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Pastor Darryl Nichols officiated. A military burial followed at Alabama National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church-Calera, Children’s Building Fund, 11215 Highway 22, Calera, Alabama 35040.
