Allen J., “A.J.” Austin, age 78, a resident of Wilsonville, passed away on Monday, July 26, at a local nursing home. Chapel service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday July 28, at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Mr. Austin was a longtime employee of McDow Motor Company, Strickland Chevrolet and Co-owner of Alabaster Chevron.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife Imogene Austin; children, Michael Austin, Leigh Ann Langley (Maurice), Sheridina Kallaher (Patrick); grandchildren, JoAynn Perry, Shannon Austin, Danica Connell (Dan), Danson Thornburg; great granddaughter, Daniley Connell; sister, Glenda Kilgore (Jimmy) and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
