Max Blackwell, age 76, of Columbiana, passed away on July 23. He was preceded in death by his father: Ollis Maxwell Blackwell, Sr.; and mother, Flora (McMillian) Blackwell. Survivors: wife, Essie Ragland Blackwell; son, Mike Blackwell (Toni); sister, Maggalean Denson; and granddaughter, Taylor Blackwell. Memorial services were held at Charter Funeral Home July 25, at 4 p.m. Pastor Larry Joe Ragland and Brother Doug Akin officiating.
