Postal service employees are among my favorite people. I like to get mail.

Or I like to get personal letters, that is. The USPS can keep the bills and “stuff.”

Can you identify with the man in Texas who received ninety-six, that’s 96, pieces of junk mail in one day alone? Now that’s a little much.

It seems this 81-year-old man’s house is littered with stacks of junk mail.

His breakfast table alone holds a pile three and one-half feet high.

Apparently the gentleman responded to some charity appeals received in the mail.

His name got circulated to more and more lists. Now the daily delivery is too big for his mail slot.

Makes you wonder how the Postal Service is going broke.

Did you know that God makes daily deliveries? And He also goes overboard in what He sends your way. In God’s case, however, that’s a good thing.

The Apostle Paul explained how we make a mess of life. But God, who is “rich in mercy,” stands ready every day to send “His great love with which He loved us” (Ephesians 4:2).

A “great” love means “large, abundant, intense.” God holds nothing back. And that means you receive more than enough love from Him to transfer your life out of mediocrity to something beyond wonderful. God’s “large love” came in a human package—Jesus.

Do you ever feel unloved? A spouse left you high and dry. Your BFF (Best Friend Forever) suddenly found a new BFF they like better than you. Or you live so far from family that you sense a disconnect from them?

Take heart. A fresh supply of “large love” arrives daily when you get on God’s mailing list.

And His comforting support releases burdens instead of causing them. And that’s no junk.
