John William Jacks Jr. passed away on July 29. John was born in St. Paul, Minn. on Nov. 15, 1964 to John William Jacks Sr. and Nancy (Hurley) Jacks. John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kimberley (Maliskey) Jacks; his daughter, Courtney; and his two sons, “Jakey”, and “Nick”. John is also survived by his mother and father; brother, Kelly; his sisters Colleen, Susan “Scooter” and Sharon “Sherry”. He is preceded in passing by his sister Barbara “Barbie”.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at Kingwood Church, 100 Harvest Way, Alabaster. In lieu of flowers, expressions of love may be made to an account in memory of John established at any Wachovia Bank in the country. Specify “Kimberley M. Jacks #5200_ on any checks and it will be used for his children’s college educations, existing medical and burial costs, along with future care for the special needs of his youngest son, Nick.
