Paul D. “Slick” Barber, 79, of Harpersville passed away Aug. 6, 2010 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Barber, four brothers and a sister. He is survived by his three sons, Paul Barber (Wanda) of Harpersville, Michael Barber (Pat) of Vincent and Bobby Barber of Harpersville; four daughters, Gail Williamson (Gerald) of Cropwell, Eunice David (Kenneth) of Wilsonville, Phoeby Lang (Pete) of Sylacauga and Sharon Barber of Harpersville; sister, Dolly Meherg of Villa Rica, Ga.; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Chris Clark, Kevin Webb, Nate Jeffreys, Clint Johnson, Anthony Williamson and Daniel Bates.
Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Services were held at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel Monday, Aug.9, 2010 at 11 a.m. Burial followed at Harpersville Cemetery. Rev. William Rayfield officiated.
