Ruth P. Clifton, age 83, a resident of Chelsea, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at her home. Chapel service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010 at Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home
Mrs. Clifton is preceded in death by her husband, Travis “Bill” Clifton; parents, William and Ruth Pitts and sisters, Mary and Connie. Mrs. Clifton is survived by her daughters, Janice Clifton Moore (John), Sandra Clifton; brother, Walter Pitts; sisters, Francis Newman, Jean Hannah; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
