A Birmingham woman was killed and an Alabaster man was injured in an Aug. 15 all-terrain vehicle wreck on Shelby County 10.

The wreck happened at about 6:10 p.m. about five miles southwest of Maylene, according to the Alabama State Trooper’s Birmingham post.

Alesha Lanier Aldridge, 19, of Birmingham was killed in the wreck and 24-year-old Alabaster resident Chase Allen Bishop was injured and transported to UAB Hospital.

The two victims were traveling on a Kawasaki Brute Force ATV when it left the road and struck a street sign. Both victims were thrown from the vehicle following the impact.
