The Pelham Police Department is on the lookout for a man suspected of the armed robbery of a local drugstore Aug. 24.

Police responded to the Wood Family Pharmacy at 2478 Pelham Parkway at about 7 p.m. Aug. 24 after learning a man entered the store and wielded a 4- or 6-inch knife before robbing the business.

The suspect then fled the scene in a white or tan late-model Nissan Maxima with clear tail lights and a spoiler on the trunk.

The suspect was about 6-foot-3-inches tall, weighed about 180 pounds and had a tattoo of a star on the webbing of his hand between his thumb and index finger. He was wearing a dark windbreaker, blue jeans and a dark ski mask, but was clean-shaven and appeared to have close-cut brown hair, according to police.

He was also carrying a blue duffle bag with black handles.

Anyone with information related to the crime should call 911 or the Pelham Police Department at 620-6550.
