Cornerstone falls to Autauga

The Cornerstone Christian School football team dropped its home opener Sept. 3 in a 32-8 loss to Autauga Academy.

Senior Josh Anderson scored the only touchdown for the Chargers with his 56-yard scoring run with 4:25 left in the first half.

Anderson ran it in for the two-point conversion to cut Autauga’s lead to 24-8.

Cornerstone finished with 167 rushing yards in the loss.

The Chargers travel to rival Coosa Valley Academy in an AISA Class 1A region game Sept. 10.
