Mary Lorene Ingle Thomas, 83, of Calera, beloved wife of Wilburn O. Thomas for 67 and half years, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.

Mary’s love for the Lord and her tenderness toward others caused everyone who met her to cherish her. Her love for her family was second only to her love for the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isham and Lillian Ingle and brother, Billy Ingle.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Wilburn O. Thomas; her children, Sharon Mickle, Charles (Linda) Thomas, Sue Parsons Jenkins, Barbara (Billy) Abel, Al (Karen) Mickle, Tommy (Linda) Mickle; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Flora Baccus, Edna (Robert) Knox, Eula (Eldon) DeFoor; brother, Herbert (Juanita) Ingle; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends, including her Calera Baptist Church family.

Visitation for friends and family will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at Calera Baptist Church; funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. Dr. Hal Warren and Rev. Stephen Cannon officiating.
