The Oak Mountain football team (0-5, 0-3 in Class 6A, Region 6) remained without a win following it 23-0 loss to Northridge (3-2, 2-1 in Class 6A, Region 5) on Sept. 24.

Northridge jumped out to an early 10-0 lead, and Oak Mountain couldn’t recover.

The Eagles rolled up more than 190 yards in the first half but could never find the end zone thanks in large part to seven turnovers.

“We just killed our drives with turnovers,” Oak Mountain coach Jeff Harris said.

Harris said the play of his defense was a bright spot.

“Our defense played well again tonight,” he said, noting that one of the Jaguars’ touchdowns came on a busted coverage in the secondary.

The Eagles will try to pick up their first win Oct. 1 at Thompson.
